Amazon's Alexa in a Pear Tree
Inspired by the 12 Days of Christmas holiday song, Amazon created the world's first smart holiday window called Alexa in a Pear Tree. This festive holiday display window can be seen in New York City’s SoHo neighborhood and it is interactive for the purposes of showing off the many things that the smart assistant can do. There are a dozen different shopper-activated displays that can be seen on the branches of a snow-covered tree, each of which shares an experience with motion, sound and lighting. This marketing display calls attention to the way that Amazon Alexa is capable of interacting with devices such as the Echo, Fire TV and Kindle, and how the assistant plays a part in the holiday home by looking up recipes, calling Santa or playing festive music.
